U.S. 1 Poets' Coop

The U.S.1 Poets' Cooperative was founded in 1973 by Alicia Ostriker and Rod Tulloss.  Other prominent members have included Lynn Powell, David Keller, Peter Wood, Elizabeth Anne Socolow, Jean Hollander, and Lois Marie Harrod. The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings in Princeton and the central New Jersey area.

U.S.1's  literary magazine U.S. 1 Worksheets has been published continuously since 1972, originally in a "Worksheet" format, twice folded like a newspaper, and since the 80's in stapled or perfect format.

A wide range of excellent poetry has appeared in US1, including work by Renee Ashley, Eloise Bruce, Robert Carnevale, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Yusef Komunyaka, Charles Johnson, Cleopatra Mathis, Madeleine Tiger, BJ Ward, and Baron Wormser, in addition to work by US1 members.
