Laura Brown has made history by becoming the first female steam locomotive driver at the Peacock Railway, a miniature railway near Nantwich. Her achievement marks a significant milestone for the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, where she has become the first woman to complete the rigorous training program and assessment required to operate a miniature steam locomotive. The railway also features what is believed to be the largest raised Gauge 1 railway in North West England, along with a clubhouse café and picnic facilities.
